Location:
Chalet Cariatides is well located in the world famous ski resort of Villars some 120km from Geneva, 55km from Lausanne and 30km from Montreux. Villars is an 80 minute drive from Geneva or approx. 90 minutes on the train With Switzerland being the ‘cross roads’ of Europe, major cities such as London, Paris, Milan, Amsterdam and Munich are all accessible with ease.
Upon arriving in Chesieres/ Villars head for Telecabine from there Domaine de la Residence is well signposted, upon entering Domaine de la Residence the Chalet is approached via Route de La Residence and is Numbered 144 (see plan).
Description:
Chalet Cariatides was constructed in 1981 and was originally constructed as two self contained apartments although the two apartments are interconnecting at present but by locking one door that connects could again be used as one family chalet or two separate apartments It is currently configured as one Chalet. The Chalet has been extensively renovated by the current owners who purchased in 2005.
Accommodation:
The Chalet comprises at ground floor level entrance hall with guest WC off, leading into the large living room with an open fireplace and French windows onto the terrace and garden, partially separated from the living room an archway leads to the large kitchen and dining area again with French windows to the terrace and jacuzzi. At the far end of the living room there is a study and to the rear of the living room is the Master Bedroom with a modern en suite Shower WC. Internal stairs lead to the first floor where there is an entrance hall, living room with kitchen off and three further bedrooms and one Shower room with WC, and a further Bathroom WC . If the property was being used as a separate area then there is an external staircase leading to the separate entrance. Also from the ground floor stairs descend to the Basement Sous sol where there is a large room which could be used for additional sleeping area or a games room, also at this level is the laundry area bureau technique, nuclear shelter – storage and a wine cave. Externally there is a large car port for two cars external parking stores and to the front terrace a jacuzzi.
Heating:
The heating and hot water is gas fired with heating having underfloor heating with recently fitted thermostats for each room.
